**Job Overview:** We seek a dedicated part time 5-6 General Vocal Music Teacher to join our dynamic learning community. The ideal candidate will have experience in vocal music education, music performance, and a passion for fostering a nurturing learning environment for students.
**Responsibilities:**
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans utilizing music pedagogy that fosters vocal and musical development - Provide a safe and supportive environment for all students
- Conduct assessments to monitor students' progress and development - Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure each child's individual needs are met
- Incorporate intervention strategies to support children with diverse learning needs - Foster social, emotional, and cognitive development through interactive musical activities
Requirements
**Experience:**
- Bachelor's degree in music education, vocal performance or related music field preferred - Ability to obtain Iowa Teacher Certification within a year
- Previous experience working in a k-12 music classroom - Knowledge of music curriculum development and age-appropriate teaching methods
- Strong understanding of musical performance and vocal development for young learners Preferred Skills:
- Experience with music education and vocal performance - Passion for music and vocal performance with children
- Ability to create a stimulating learning environment that promotes the joy of music and performance
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Benefits: .375 FTE Part-time teacher one year contract with a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. Includes .5 Stipend for 5-6 Vocal performance.
