Job Details

Summary:
The 3rd Grade Classroom Teacher provides high-quality instruction to support the academic, social, and emotional growth of all students. This position fosters a positive, inclusive learning environment, implements district curriculum aligned to Iowa Core Standards, and collaborates with colleagues and families to support student success.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging instruction aligned to Iowa Core Standards and district curriculum

  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students

  • Assess student learning and monitor academic progress using formative and summative measures

  • Establish and maintain a positive classroom culture that supports student engagement and behavior

  • Collaborate with special education staff, interventionists, and support services to meet student needs

  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities

  • Participate in team meetings, professional learning communities (PLCs), and professional development

  • Maintain accurate student records and comply with district, state, and federal requirements

 

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related field

  • Valid Iowa teaching license issued by the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners

  • Appropriate elementary education endorsement or ability to obtain one

  • Terms: Salary and benefits per district agreement.
