REGULAR MEETING
The Estherville Lincoln Central Board of Education held a Regular Meeting on Monday, October 15, 2018 at 5:15pm in the High School Media Center. Board members present were: Dr. Cory Hoyer, Vice President, Melissa Regelstad, Duane Schnell and Sandy Fandel Others present were: Tara Paul, Superintendent; Kate Woods, Board Secretary/Treasurer, Frank Christenson, Dave Swartz – EDN, Nathan Puhl- KILR, Lili Jensen, Kim Sorbo, Nate Puhl, Kyle Steffen, Jason Kollasch, Vanessa Esteves, Annel Canales and Jadynn Moore
REGULAR MEETING – 5:15PM
Call to Order/Roll Call Vice President Hoyer called the regular meeting to order at 5:15pm. Board members present were Hoyer, Fandel, Regelstad, and Schnell
Agenda Approval Motion by Schnell, second by Fandel to approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried 4-0.

Consent Agenda Motion by Schnell, second by Regelstad to approve the consent agenda as presented. Motion carried 4-0.

Items for Action/Discussion
New Business
Set Public Hearing Date Motion by Fandel, second by Regelstad to set a new public hearing for a land trade on November 19, 2018 at 5:10pm. Motion carried 4-0.
Early Graduation Request Motion by Schnell, second by Regelstad to approve the early graduation request contingent on the requestor completing all State and Local graduation requirements successfully. Motion carried 4-0.
Snow Removal Bids Motion by Regelstad, second by Fandel to approve the snow removal bid submitted by ABC Services for snow removal for the 18-19 school year. Motion carried 4-0.
Roosevelt Building-Asbestos Abatement/Demolition Motion by Schnell, second by Fandel to approve working with Impact 7G to prepare bid documents and bid forms for the district to let out to bid asbestos abatement of the South end of Roosevelt. Motion carried 4-0.
Bus Bids Motion by Fandel, second by Schnell to approve the bid from Thomas Bus Company for $86,073. Motion carried 4-0.
Certified Enrollment Superintendent Paul reviewed the October 1, 2018 Certified Enrollment Numbers.
Early Retirement Policy Motion by Regelstad, second by Schnell to approve the Early Retirement Plan as presented. Abstain: Fandel, Ayes: Regelstad, Schnell, Hoyer. Motion carried 3-0-1.
Board Policy 800 Series 1st Reading - No Action
Adjournment – Motion by Regelstad, second by Fandel, to adjourn the meeting at 6:04pm. Motion carried 4-0. The next regular meeting will be November 19, 2018 at 5:15pm. .
