January 20, 2020
The Estherville Lincoln Central Board of Education held a Regular Meeting on Monday, January 20, 2020 at 5:10pm in the High School Media Center/Library. Board members present were Tony Condon, President, Jeff Soper, Vice President, Duane Schnell, Sandy Fandel and Gordon Juhl. Others present were: Tara Paul, Superintendent; Kate Woods, Board Secretary/Treasurer, Dave Swartz – EDN, Frank Christensen, Megan Miller, Robyn Swisher, Margaret Evans, Rick Gebel, Jason Kollasch, Jana Ludwig, Kris Weisman, Shane Kalous, Rick Gebel, Jason Kollasch, Carole Reinhardt(5:35pm)
Regular Meeting
Call to Order/Roll Call President Condon called the regular meeting to order at 5:15pm. Board members present were Schnell, Fandel, Soper, Juhl.
Agenda Approval Motion by Fandel, second by Schnell to approve the agenda, with the change in hires and addition of the appointment of Christina Dunlavy as Level One Investigator. Motion carried 5-0.
Public Input None.
Consent Agenda Motion by Schnell, second by Juhl approve the consent agenda as presented. Motion carried 5-0.

Old Business
Board Policy Series 200 Motion by Fandel, second by Juhl, to approve Board Policy Series 200 with updates/changes as presented. Motion carried 5-0.
New Business
Storage Building Motion by Soper second by Fandel to approve moving forward with investigating placing a building and the cost of doing so on the Central Office/Bus Barn Property and looking at existing properties in Estherville for storage purposes and appointing Board Members Schnell and Juhl to be on the building committee. Motion carried 5-0.
Early Retirement Policy Motion by Schnell, second by Soper to not offer an early retirement policy at this time. Ayes - Soper, Schnell, Juhl, Condon. Abstain – Fandel. Motion carried 4-0.
Level I Investigator Appointment Motion by Fandel, second by Juhl to approve Christina Dunlavy, School Nurse as the District’s Level I Investigator. Motion carried 5-0.

Adjournment – Motion by Schnell, second by Fandel to adjourn the meeting at 6:13 pm. Motion carried 5-0. The next regular meeting will be February 10, 2020 at 5:15pm in the High School Library/Media Center.
