REGULAR MEETING
The Estherville Lincoln Central Board of Education held a Regular Meeting on Monday, October 21, 2019 at 5:15pm in the High School Media Center. Board members present were: Dr. Cory Hoyer-Vice President, Melissa Regelstad , Duane Schnell and Sandy Fandel Others present were: Tara Paul, Superintendent; Kate Woods, Board Secretary/Treasurer, Dave Swartz – EDN, Lili Jensen, Jason Kollasch, Rick Gebel, Megan Miller, Robyn Swisher, Kyle Steffen, Connie Humble, Kathy Beernink, Margaret Evans, Shelly Berning, Frank Christenson, Gordon Juhl, Brad Leonard, Jeff Soper, Jean Herrick, Meredith Spykerman, Tyler Ruse, Jessica Ruse, Nick McClurg
Call to Order/Roll Call Vice- President Hoyer called the regular meeting to order at 5:16pm. Board members present were Schnell, Fandel, and Regelstad. Absent - Cornwall
Agenda Approval Motion by Regelstad second by Fandel to approve the agenda with additional hires of Paulson and Roberts. Motion carried 4-0.
Public Input None.
Consent Agenda Motion by Schnell, second by Fandel to approve the consent agenda as presented. Motion carried 4-0.

Hires – Katie Friesner, Dem SPED Teacher Associate, Elinor Paulson, Kim Roberts – Demoney
Highlights Frank Christenson introduced Meredith Spykerman, a new middle school science teacher.
Update on the Therapy Dog Program – Jean Herrick introduced Otto, the therapy dog from the high school. Shelly Berning talked about the benefits of the therapy dog located at the Demoney Building.
Reports/Information Administrator reports were informational.

New Business
2019-20 Snow Removal Bids Motion by Regelstad, second by Schnell to approve the bid of $3,000 per push from Cory Juergens Construction for the 19-20 School Year. Motion carried 4-0.
Iowa Assessment Date Results for Iowa Assessment Data are not yet available.
Certified Enrollment Update Certified enrollment data will not be finalized until November 8, per the DE. As of this meeting ELC looks to be down 4 to 5 students.
Certified Annual Report Reviewed the treasurer’s report from the Certified Annual Report for the fiscal year ending 6.30.19.
Adjournment – Motion by Regelstad, second by Fandel to adjourn the meeting at 6:09 pm. Motion carried 4-0. The next regular meeting will be November 18, 2019 at 5:15pm.
