Public Hearing/ Special Meeting Minutes
The Estherville Lincoln Central Board of Education held a Public Hearing followed by a Special Meeting on Monday, July 1 2019 at 5:10p.m., in the high school library. Board members present: Duane Schnell, Melissa Regelstad, Sandy Fandel, Dr. Cory Hoyer. Absent: Kathy Cornwall. Others present: Tara Paul, Superintendent; Kate Woods, Board Secretary/Treasurer, Jason Kollasch, Dave Swartz – Estherville News, Ed Funston - KILR
Public Hearing – 5:10pm
Call to Order/Roll Call Vice - President Hoyer called the public hearing to order at 5:09pm. Board members present were Schnell, Regelstad, Fandel. Absent: Cornwall
Agenda Approval Motion by Regelstad, second by Fandel to approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried 4-0.
Public Input None
High School HVAC Retrofit Plans Plans for the High School HVAC Retrofit Project were reviewed by board.
Adjourn Public Hearing Motion by Schnell, second by Regelstad to adjourn the public hearing. Motion carried 4-0.
Special Meeting – 5:13pm
Call to Order/Roll Call Vice-President Hoyer called the public hearing to order at 5:13pm. Board members present were Schnell, Regelstad, Fandel. Absent - Cornwall
Agenda Approval Motion by Fandel, second by Schnell to approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried 4-0.
High School HVAC Retrofit Plan Motion by Schnell, second by Fandel to approve the HVAC retrofit plan and to approve the bid from Graves Construction, Inc in the amount of $378, 432.74, starting on July 29, 2019 and completed by October 4, 2019.
Motion carried 4-0.
Personnel Motion by Regelstad, second by Fandel to approve the following hires/resignation: Connie Humble, Elementary Principal - $85,000.00; Jenny Nitchals, Varsity Asst. Volleyball - $ 3,480.00; Matt Gruhlke, Middle School Boys Track - $1,740.00. Resignation – Justyna Eberle, Demoney Teacher Associate. Motion carried 4-0.
Adjournment Motion by Schnell, second by Regelstad to adjourn the meeting at 5:16pm. Motion carried 4-0.
