ESTHERVILLE LINCOLN CENTRAL COMMUNITY SCHOOLS
October 18, 2021
The Estherville Lincoln Central Board of Education held its regular monthly meeting on Monday, October 18, 2021 at 5:15pm in the High School Media Center. Board members present were Tony Condon (by phone); President, Gordon Juhl, Jeff Soper; Vice President, Duane Schnell, Sandy Fandel. Others present were: Tara Paul, Superintendent; Kate Woods, Board Secretary/Treasurer, Dave Schwartz - EDN, Connie Humble, Brad Nelson, Shane Kalous, Matt Schroeder, Stephanie Wheatley, Robyn Swisher, Megan Miller, Jenny Christensen, Teagan Alger, Chelsey Smith, Shanna Carlin, Sarah Hanson, Brad Leonard, Kevin Richardson
Agenda Approval Motion by Fandel, second by Schnell to approve the agenda with two additional hires under 5.3. Motion carried 5-0.
Public Input Shanna Carlin & Jenny Christensen spoke to the board concerning Prom/Post Prom events that are being planned
by the Junior parents.
Consent Agenda Motion by Condon, second by Schnell to approve the consent agenda with the addition of Alan Kies to a High School DLT position and Esmerelda Hernandeaz, MS bilingual teacher associate. Motion carried 5-0.

Highlights New teacher introductions: Teagan Alger was introduced by Sarah Hanson. FFA Program Update, Mr. Matt Schroeder presented the board with a calendar of FFA events.
Reports/Information Reports were informational.

Prom Discussion Motion by Juhl, second by Fandel to table the Prom/Post Prom
discussion until next month.
Certified Annual Report – Treasurer’s Report The FY 21 Annual Treasurer’s report was presented, no action.
Certified Enrollment 2021 Update Preliminary certified enrollment numbers show a loss of 6.27
Students. No Action.
IASB Delegate Assembly No action, information on upcoming IASB Delegate Assembly and Annual Convention.
City of Estherville – SRO Agreement Motion by Condon, second by Juhl to approve the agreement with the City of Estherville for the
21-22 school year. Motion carried 5-0.
