The Estherville Lincoln Central Board of Education held its regular monthly meeting on Monday, July 19, 2021 at 5:15pm in the High School Media Center.  Board members present were Tony Condon; President, Gordon Juhl, Jeff Soper; Vice President, Duane Schnell, Sandy Fandel (Zoom).    Others present were:  Tara Paul (Zoom), Superintendent; Kate Woods, Board Secretary/Treasurer, Jason Kollasch, Matt Schroeder, Bethany Phillips, Dave Schwartz - EDN.  Zoom - Megan Miller, Amy Hansen  Call to Order/Roll Call         President Condon called the meeting to order at 5:15pm.  Board members present were Juhl, Soper, Schnell and Fandel (Zoom).

Agenda Approval - Motion by Soper, second by Fandel to approve the agenda as presented.  Motion carried 5-0.

Public Input –None   Consent Agenda - Motion by Schnell, second by Fandel to approve the consent agenda as

presented.   Motion carried 5-0. Items approved under the consent agenda are as follows: Minutes from the June 21,

2021 meeting. Bills  Hires – Mitchel Krein- Freshman Boys Basketball; Nick Hogan - Middle School Football

Coach; Megan Anderson - MS Cross Country Coach.  Transfers - Bethany Phillips from PreK Teacher to PreK-3rd

Grade Special Education. Finance Reports  Reports/Information -  Matthew Schroeder, New HS Ag Teacher

presented his FFA retreat plans for July31 to August 1.  Items for Action/Discussion - Old Business  Board Policy

Series 403 Motion by Fandel, 2nd by Schnell to approve Board Policy Series 403 with changes as presented. Motion

carried 5-0.  New Business-  Activity Pass Increase    Motion by Juhl, second by Soper, to approve the increase in activity passes as follows:   ELC Student Activity Ticket to $40, Adult Activity Ticket to $50.  Motion carried 5-0.

Career Connect Agreement for College Level Courses – ILCC - Motion by Schnell, second by Juhl, to approve

the annual agreement  ELC and ILCC and the offering of college level courses to our high school students who take college courses as followed and governed by Senior Year Plus and Concurrent Enrollment Guidelines.  Motion carried 5-0. 21-22 Student Handbooks - Motion by Soper, second by Fandel to approve the 21-22 handbooks as presented.  Motion carried 5-0. ELC - UDMO Food Service Agreement 21-22         Motion by Fandel, second by Juhl to approve the 21-22 ELC - UDMO Food Service Agreement.  Motion carried 5-0.

Set Public Hearing Date - HS Parking Lot Project       Motion by Schnell, second by Juhl to approve the Public Hearing for the HS Parking Lot Project as August 9, 2021 at 12:00PM and a Special Meeting at 12:05PM to review bids for the project. Motion carried 5-0.                                     

Adjournment – Motion by Soper, second by Fandel to adjourn the meeting at 5:44pm.   Motion carried 5-0.  The next regular meeting will be August 16, 2021 at 5:15pm.
