ELC Booster Club
Individual Sports Camp Assistance Program
A private donation has enabled the Estherville Booster Club to establish a program to assist individual student-athletes in grades 7-12 with costs of attending a camp to improve their individual skills.
The Booster Club will assist only with the direct cost of a camp and will not pay for travel, meals or associated costs.
This program is not designed to assist with “team camp” expenses – only individual camp applications are considered.
The individual student-athlete should contact his or her coach to discuss the camp in which the student is interested. The student will need to complete a Booster Club application form which provides information about the camp, its cost, how much funding is being requested from the Booster Club, and an explanation of why the student wishes to attend this specific camp. The form will need to be signed by the student, the parent, and the coach. A copy of the camp brochure must be included with the application. The student should also submit a completed registration form for the camp. It is preferred that this application be turned in 30 days in advance of the camp.
As there is limited funding for this program, the Booster Club will not be able to approve all applicants. We request only those students with financial need apply. Upon completion of the above mentioned form, the student should submit this form to either his or her head coach or the Athletic Director. The Booster Club will then review each application on a case-by-case basis to determine which applications are approved.
If an application is approved, the Booster Club will notify the student and the coach. A check will be written directly to the camp itself. If a student for any reason cannot attend the camp, any refund of the registration cost should be returned to the Booster Club.
